About the role
The Scientist/Engineer II will provide onsite support to DARPA's Microsystems Technology Office (MTO), playing a key role in breakthroughs and innovative technologies.
Responsibilities
- Participate or lead all activities in project management, technical and programmatic risk analysis, program-funded test coordination, and coordination with members of the Department of Defense for transition.
- Coordinate meetings, assess performer technical progress, project performer outcomes, and ensure project management best practices are followed.
- Develop point papers, slide decks, and other materials to convey the need, status, and importance of a program.
- Research unique problem set ideas to aid in National Security priorities.
- Conceive, plan, and conduct research in problem areas of considerable scope and complexity requiring unconventional or novel approaches and sophisticated research techniques.
- Make decisions independently on R&D engineering problems and methods, and resolve important questions.
- Use advanced techniques, theories, precepts, and practices in one or more DARPA technical areas.
Requirements
- Master's Degree
- Active DOD Secret clearance
- 7+ years of experience
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skill in conceiving, planning, and conducting research in problem areas of considerable scope and complexity requiring unconventional or novel approaches and sophisticated research techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently on R&D engineering problems and methods, and to resolve important questions.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of advanced techniques, theories, precepts, and practices in one or more DARPA technical areas.
