About the Role
As a Scientist, you will execute environmental studies and provide analysis to support project decision-making. This position involves conducting fieldwork, interpreting data, and preparing comprehensive reports for clients and regulatory bodies.
Responsibilities
- Lead field studies, including sampling and data collection.
- Analyze data using statistical and scientific methods.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for clients and regulators.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on environmental projects.
- Maintain project files, logs, and data sets.
- Collaborate with other departments, agencies, and consultants.
- Stay current on planning best practices and local regulations.
- Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting project scope.
- Achieve or exceed individual utilization targets.
- Comply with all KCI policies and procedures.
- Ensure projects comply with ISO standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, or a related field.
- Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and fieldwork methods.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proficiency in GIS software.
- Good communication and technical writing skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to maintain required certifications.
