About the role

The DMPK and ADME Scientist at Monte Rosa Therapeutics (MRT) will play a crucial role in the discovery and development of drug pipelines. They will collaborate with various teams including Research, Bioanalytical, and Clinical Science to ensure that clinical candidates have acceptable drug development characteristics.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all stages of DMPK and ADME assessments, from initial compound screening through to IND and NDA regulatory submissions.
  • Work with Research, Bioanalytical, and Clinical Science subject matter experts to provide scientific expertise ensuring clinical candidates with acceptable drug development characteristics are identified and appropriately characterized.
  • Represent Preclinical Development on Research and Development teams and interface with internal and external colleagues to disseminate DMPK and ADME findings accurately and timely.
  • Lead Nonclinical Development efforts in troubleshooting and guiding the discovery project team, focusing on optimizing properties for oral administration.
  • Present ADME experimental data related to in vitro and in vivo animal PK and biotransformation to Nonclinical Development and Clinical Pharmacology teams.
  • Continuously learn and explore new technologies and capabilities in the discovery DMPK space.
  • Coordinate outsourced in vitro and in vivo DMPK studies and communicate data effectively to support internal communication of data, study reports, and regulatory documentation.
  • Aid the Nonclinical Development & Clinical Pharmacology team's activities across multiple project phases, including lead discovery, lead optimization, and regulatory filings.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of drug discovery industry experience in Drug Metabolism, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Toxicology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Effective management of internal and external collaborations/service providers (CROs).
  • Build relationships with peers and partners outside of Nonclinical Development & Clinical Pharmacology to enable high team performance.
  • Demonstrate novel, innovative solutions to challenging problems using scientific discretion, intuition, and integrity.
  • Strong collaboration and innovative skills across subject areas representing DMPK as a project team representative within the core team.
