Scientific Systems Operations Lead

Travel Required: None

Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "public trust." Candidates must obtain approved adjudication prior to onboarding. Active public trust or suitability preferred.

What You Will Do

• Oversee day-to-day operations of computing platforms, including monitoring system health and performance.
• Respond to incidents, conduct troubleshooting, and perform root cause analysis.
• Manage capacity planning, system tuning, and scaling to meet workload demands.
• Execute preventive maintenance, patching, and configuration management.
• Provide user support and maintain operational documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
• Seven (7) years supporting complex computing environments.
• Strong system administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with automation and operational tools.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "public trust."

Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience supporting high-performance or data-intensive environments.
• Familiarity with service management or reliability practices.
• Prior NIH experience.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00–$216,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on skill sets, experience, training, security clearances, licensure, certifications, and business needs.
