About Spectrum High School
Spectrum is a college preparatory charter school serving students in grades 5-12 in Elk River, Minnesota, since 2006. We are proud to offer a robust concurrent enrollment program known as C@SH (College at Spectrum High), which provides students the opportunity to complete the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum or earn an Associate of Arts degree while remaining entirely on our high school campus. About the Role
Spectrum is seeking a passionate 1.0 FTE Science Teacher to join our team. While this is a Chemistry position, the successful candidate will teach full-time high school Earth and Space Science during the 2026-27 school year as we transition our science course sequence. Beginning in the 2027-28 school year, the position will transition to a full-time Chemistry and Physics teaching assignment.
Qualifications
- Passionate about science education and college preparatory instruction
- Ability to teach Earth and Space Science (2026-27) and subsequently Chemistry and Physics (2027-28 onward)
- Spectrum is willing to work with qualified applicants to obtain the appropriate Minnesota tiered teaching license, if needed
