About
A museum and independent research library located in the heart of New York City, the Morgan Library & Museum began as the personal library of financier, collector, and cultural benefactor Pierpont Morgan. As early as 1890 Morgan had begun to assemble a collection of illuminated, literary, and historical manuscripts, early printed books, and old master drawings and prints.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the weekly implementation of school programs Tuesdays–Fridays, including program set-up and clean-up
- Maintain program supplies
- Provide administrative support, including e-mail campaigns and data collection
- Observe the Morgan’s school programming and be trained to teach school tours
- Support daily school programming, teacher workshops, and the Morgan Book Project
Requirements
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student
- Strong interest in a career in the museum or research library fields
- Eligibility to work in the United States; international candidates must be eligible to participate in a paid internship program in the United States
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to attend programs on the following dates:
- September 24 and 30, 2026
- October 22, 2026
- January 14, 2027
- February 1, 2027
- March 18, 2027
- April 16, 2027
- May 20, 2027
Schedule
- Weekday mornings, Tuesday–Friday
- Maximum 14 hours per week
- Internship runs September 2026–May 2027
- Some weekend and evening hours required
Pay
$19 per hour
