About the role
As a School Support Therapist, you will provide high-quality counseling services to students, supporting them and their families in navigating social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that may affect learning and development. You'll partner closely with school staff and district teams to ensure students and educators receive the comprehensive support they need.
Responsibilities
- Work 37.5 hours per week.
- This is a 9-month salaried position following the school district's calendar (approximately working 192 days per year).
- Work within the middle school located in the Philipsburg-Osceola Area School District.
- In addition to school hours, there is a possible opportunity to provide outpatient services at one of CenClear's outpatient offices.
- Assessment and Consultation
- Behavioral and Mental Health intervention for students
- Case Management
- Professional Development & Documentation
- Provide behavioral and therapeutic support to students using a variety of treatment approaches, including the family systems model.
Requirements
- Licensed Eligible
- Has a graduate degree from a college or university that is accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education (CHEA) in a generally recognized clinical discipline in which the degree program includes a clinical practicum;
- Or Has an equivalent degree form a foreign college or university that has been evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) or the National Association credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
- The Department will accept a general equivalency report from the listed evaluator agencies to verify a foreign degree or its equivalency;
- Or Is licensed in a generally recognized clinical discipline that includes mental health clinical experience. (55 Pa. Code5200.3. Definitions)
