School Speech-Language Pathologist - Bronx
About the role
Knowledge Road is hiring NYS‑licensed Speech‑Language Pathologists to work as school‑based speech therapists on a 1099 basis in the Bronx. The company holds a New York City DOE contract to provide IEP‑ and IESP‑mandated services to students who attend independent, parochial and charter schools across the borough, as well as some homeschooled students. These placements are not in DOE public schools.
Responsibilities

- Keep session notes and complete required documentation
- Complete progress reports as required
- Communicate with the school, the family and the student's team
- Attend IEP meetings for the students you work with
Requirements
- Current NYS license as a Speech‑Language Pathologist
- Availability to work in the Bronx
- Not have been employed by the NYC Department of Education within the past year (special approval can be arranged if needed)

- 4 students: $130/hour
- 5‑8 students: $180/hour
- Nearly all current cases are one‑to‑one.
- You submit session logs at the end of each month and are paid by direct deposit, typically within about a week.
- Payment is for sessions actually delivered.
Schedule
There is no minimum caseload, no exclusivity requirement, and no cap on the number of hours you can work—your workload depends entirely on how many cases you choose to accept. Most assignments occur during the regular school day in Bronx schools, with some after‑school sessions and occasional weekend work. The specific cases available vary throughout the year, and Knowledge Road recruits year‑round, informing you of open opportunities when you apply.
