About the role

This is a local contract position for a School Social Worker, promoting the general well-being of students. Responsibilities include working with outside agencies to provide family support, mentoring and advising teachers and school personnel, developing crisis intervention strategies, and helping students maximize coping skills in difficult situations.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work
• Professional Educator License (PEL) from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
• Social worker license/certification such as LCSW, LMSW, or state-specific professional educator license that meets position requirements
• Previous pediatric experience preferred

Pay

$50.05 - $53.90 per hour. Estimated weekly payment may include both taxable wages and tax-free reimbursements for meals, housing, and incidentals.

Schedule

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks (40-week contract)
• 37 hours per week
• Shift: 8 hours, days
