Special Education Teacher (School Services) for a local contract position in Kansas City, Kansas. Responsibilities

• Have a strong understanding of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practice.
• Believe in building relationships and creating a safe, connected classroom environment.
• Maintain high expectations while using positive behavior supports and proactive classroom management strategies.
• Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families.
• Manage data collection, documentation, and communication effectively.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Valid Kansas Teaching Licensure or have a plan for obtaining one.
• K‑12 Low Incidence Endorsement (or open to a Valid Kansas SPED endorsement).
• Special education experience preferred.
