About the role
This position reports to the School Principal and provides skilled receptionist duties to Parents, School visitors & vendors; provides secretarial services for Faculty and Staff, helps facilitate office and School communication and acts as a minister of hospitality for the School. Assists with helping maintain accurate Student records.
Responsibilities
- Answers telephones and takes messages.
- Assists visitors in the School office.
- Helps facilitate school communication.
- Provides back-up assistance to the Principal and office staff.

- Distributes mail to the staff daily as directed.

Requirements
- Knowledge of general office and secretarial procedures.
- Ability to professionally meet, greet and welcome parents & guests.
- Proficient typing skills and working experience of software including Word, Excel Adobe; and Shelby church database.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle stressful situations.
- Ability to make decisions in a timely manner and communicate these decisions effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to set priorities and organize work effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications
- High School diploma.
- Two years experience working in a related position.
Skills
