About This Role

Join Little People Learning Center in Danbury, CT as a School Readiness Preschool Teacher working with Preschool (3–5). The role calls for a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and offers $20 – $22/Hr to qualified childcare professionals.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement lesson plans that promote intellectual, physical, and creative growth in preschool students.
• Create a safe and engaging learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Communicate effectively with parents on students' progress and growth.
• Ensure the health and safety of all students in your care.

Requirements

• Must have AS or BA in ECE or CDA.
• Must have OEC head teacher certification.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be available for an 8 hour shift 5 days a week.
• Previous experience in childcare or teaching is a plus.
• Passionate about working with children.
• Able to build rapport with children and parents.
• Positive and patient demeanor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience creating and carrying out curriculum.

Nice to Have

• First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Experience with School Readiness programs.
• Experience with lesson planning using CT ELDS and DOTS standards.
