School Psychology Intern (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

Performs all duties of a School Psychologist under the direct supervision of one or more TUSD School Psychologists. Responsibilities include psycho-educational evaluations, individual and group counseling, and staff consultations.

Requirements

  • Must be part of an accredited University/College program in Psychology working towards a doctorate degree
  • All pre-requisite work required by the School Psychology Program must be completed
  • Completed a Psychology Externship and Practicum requirements

Requirements Prior To Start Date

  • AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
  • Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department

Qualifications

  • Will complete School Psychology Master’s Degree program in May 2027, or earlier

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual – Spanish/English

Schedule

  • 10-month work calendar
  • 1.0 FTE – 8 hours per day
  • Temporary position ending in June 2027

Benefits

  • Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits

Pay

Salary is based on the district’s salary schedule for supervisory/professional roles. Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. Pay rates now include increases funded through a community-approved override, guaranteed through June 2031.
