School Psychologist (Certified) - $54-57 per hour

About the role

The School Psychologist (Certified) is needed for a local contract job in New Haven, Indiana. The position is for 13 weeks starting August 10, 2026, and is 37 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services, analyzing cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional functioning.
• Interpret evaluation results and present findings clearly during case conferences and IEP meetings with families, teachers, and administrators.
• Collaborate closely with school staff to design, implement, and monitor evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions (including FBAs and BIPs).
• Provide short-term individual or group counseling and crisis intervention services to support students' mental health and academic success.
• Consult with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to foster positive classroom environments and support student learning strategies.
• Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in accordance with state regulations and district procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Indiana School Psychologist license issued by the Department of Education (or eligibility to obtain prior to the school year start).
• Master’s, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential is a plus.
• Previous experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and writing IEP components in a school setting is highly preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in School Psychology.
• Must Have: Valid Indiana School Psychologist license; experience with psychoeducational evaluations, IEP development, and behavioral interventions.
