School Psychologist (2026-27 School Year)
About the role
The Rapid City Area School (RCAS) District is seeking a Psychologist to join their outstanding system of faculty and staff for the 2026-27 School Year. The successful candidate will provide a full range of school psychological services to children ages 0-21, including screening and assessment, consulting on educational programs, crisis counseling, designing remedial educational programs, individual and group counseling with school staff, parents, and outside agencies as appropriate. They will also function as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to determine the student's eligibility for special services, appropriate programming, and on-going progress. The position requires implementing all procedures to meet compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide a full range of school psychological services to children ages 0-21, including screening and assessment, consulting on educational programs, crisis counseling, designing remedial educational programs, individual and group counseling with school staff, parents, and outside agencies as appropriate.

Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Psychology from an accredited institution is required. Candidates must have a valid South Dakota State License to Practice Psychology. Experience working with children and families in a school setting is preferred.
