School Psychologist - 2023-24 School Year (Possible Full and Part Time)
Job Description
The successful candidate will provide psychological services to students in grades K-12 within the Gwinnett County Public Schools system. This position may be full-time or part-time depending on the needs of the school district.
About the Role
This role involves collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student learning and emotional well-being. The psychologist will conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and provide counseling services as needed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Counsel students and families to address mental health and academic challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to support student success
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in psychology and education
Requirements
- A master’s degree in psychology from an accredited institution
- Licensure as a school psychologist in Georgia
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Knowledge of child development and learning theories
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in using assessment tools and software
