About the role
The West Bath School Administrative Unit seeks a 20% FTE school psychologist to support the public preschool - grade 12 students at the West Bath School. The position includes conducting formal psychological evaluations, assessments, and screenings, consulting with teachers, families, and other school professionals, and attending IEP meetings.
Responsibilities
- Conducting formal psychological evaluations, assessments, and screenings
- Communicating findings consistent with the special education process for children in preschool through grade 12
- Consulting with teachers, families, and other school professionals to improve support strategies, practices, and policies
- Fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Attending IEP meetings for students being evaluated
Requirements
- Hold or be eligible to hold Maine DOE certification 093
- Have a valid Criminal History Record Check (CHRC)
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of special education law
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- A desire to develop, support, and maintain appropriate special services programs for all West Bath students
