Cross Country Education is hiring a School Psychologist to join a supportive school district in Keller, Texas for the 2026-2027 school year. About the role

Location: Keller, TX
School Year: August 3, 2026 – May 29, 2027
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities

Assessment

  • Select and administer psychological assessments and conduct observations to evaluate students' intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
  • Determine student eligibility for special education services in accordance with federal and Texas state regulations.
  • Develop comprehensive psychological evaluation reports and behavior management plans.
  • Participate in or facilitate Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee meetings to support appropriate student placement and development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Serve as a case manager for special education evaluations on assigned campuses, when applicable.

Consultation

  • Meet with parents to review student background information, assessment results, and recommendations.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling or therapeutic interventions for students with identified needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and campus staff to interpret assessment data and develop effective behavioral interventions.
  • Consult with outside professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, physicians, and community agencies, regarding student needs.
  • Deliver professional development and staff training focused on supporting students with emotional, social, and behavioral challenges.

Program Management

  • Evaluate and improve psychological services and assessment procedures through ongoing program review.
  • Assist in the selection and management of assessment tools and testing materials.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including evaluation reports, case records, assessment data, and required compliance records.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, district, and campus policies and procedures.
  • May provide clinical supervision and mentorship to interns or trainees, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's, Specialist (Ed.S) or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Valid Texas licensure or certification required to practice as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and participating in ARD/IEP meetings preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of special education law, assessment practices, and behavioral interventions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Pay

Compensation: $57-$62/hour on a W-2
Pay frequency: Weekly
