About the role

Albemarle County Public Schools is currently accepting applications for anticipated vacancies for School Principals at the elementary, middle, and high school levels for the 2026-2027 school year. Specific locations to be determined.

Responsibilities

• Work together as a team to end the predictive value of race, class, gender, and special capacities for students' success through high-quality teaching and learning for all.
• Build relationships with families and communities to ensure that every student succeeds.
• Know every student and engage with the Culturally Responsive Teaching model.
• Commit to actively building relationships with students, families, and staff to provide optimal learning experiences for our students.

Requirements

• Must hold (or be eligible by June 30, 2026) a Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Administration and Supervision PK-12.
• A minimum of three years experience as an assistant principal, principal, or commensurate central office leadership.
• A minimum of five years teaching experience.
