About the role
Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to work alongside a collaborative school team and help K–12 students build greater mobility, confidence, and independence throughout the school year in Norwalk, CT.
Position Overview
- Provide physical therapy support to K–12 students under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist with implementing individualized therapy plans and exercises designed to improve students’ mobility, strength, balance, and functional skills
- Collaborate with physical therapists, educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and participation in the school environment
- Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress while following applicable professional and school-based standards
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
- Valid Connecticut Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License
- School-based experience preferred; strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with K–12 students
Pay
- Earn $35.60 - $41.80 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications as a Physical Therapist Assistant, with weekly pay and opportunities for bonuses and incentives
