School Office Professional/Health Room at Lake Washington High School

Job Summary

The primary responsibility is to oversee the Health Room and supervision and monitoring of students referred for illness which may include the administration of first aid that falls within normal procedures. The incumbent may also be delegated the responsibility for administering medication(s) to appropriate students by the School Nurse (Health Service Specialist "HSS") in compliance with State law and District policy.

When not performing Health Room duties, the position performs clerical and secretarial duties as assigned. May support building, department, or administrative staff.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Generally, the Job Requires 80% Sitting, 10% Walking, and 10% Standing.
• Minimal temperature variations, generally hazard-free environment, and in a clean atmosphere.
• Frequent reaching, handling, fingering and/or feeling.
• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling.
• Seldom climbing and balancing.
• Seldom stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling.

Education and Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years job-related education and/or experience.
• Health care experience or interest preferred.
