What You'll Do
- Reviews documents and contracts to ensure accuracy before forwarding for processing.
- Proofreads manuals and technical reports to ensure accuracy.
- Routes documents and contracts to appropriate party(ies) for review, signature, and processing.
- Trains staff on appropriate division/section procedures and/or equipment.
- Affords logistical support, travel schedules and/or reservations for conferences and workshops.
- Affords conference and/or workshop support to include registration, creation and dissemination of materials, preparing invoices, and taking meeting minutes.
- Affords logistical support for office paperwork.
- Affords technical assistance to staff, clients and others including answering phones, routing calls to appropriate person(s) or taking messages.
- Maintains section inventory and accounts for expenditure of funds.
- Presents expense reimbursement forms.
Additional Responsibilities
- Attends meetings in order to receive/convey information.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED certificate.
- Four or more years of experience successfully performing progressively responsible support tasks.
- Intermediate and/or advanced training in spreadsheet, database, HTML, and word-processing applications preferred.

About the Role
The Missouri School for the Blind is seeking a School Office Assistant to provide technical and/or paraprofessional support in addition to traditional clerical duties. Some autonomy in the performance of duties can be expected. Work is often of a highly confidential and sensitive nature. The incumbent must have the ability to perform the essential functions below either with or without reasonable accommodation.
