About the role

The School of Information Studies in the College of Applied Social Sciences at Dominican University seeks a tenure-track faculty member starting in August 2023. This position will be part of a diverse, collaborative, and cohesive core faculty committed to the university's mission.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the academic program by teaching courses in Information Studies, Library and Information Science, Information Management, Youth Literature, and Professional Studies.
• Participate in curriculum development and assessment activities.
• Engage in scholarly research and publication.
• Provide service to the school, college, and university.

Requirements

• A PhD in Information Studies or a related field.
• Experience in product management or web services.
• Strong commitment to teaching and student success.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to teach effectively at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
• Experience with educational technology and digital resources.

Skills

• Knowledge of current trends in information studies and library science.
