Position Overview
Provide occupational therapy services to eligible students in alignment with their IEP. Conduct evaluations to qualify and/or dismiss students from school-based OT services.

- Legacy Traditional School – Cadence – Henderson, NV
- Legacy Traditional School – North Valley – North Las Vegas, NV
- Legacy Traditional School – Southwest – Las Vegas, NV
Essential Functions
- Screen students who are referred with motor or sensory concerns.
- Conduct evaluations of students who are suspected of having motor, visual motor, sensory, sensorimotor, and/or neurodevelopmental delays or disorders.
- Prepare evaluation reports in alignment with required timelines.
- Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team by documenting needs, creating goals, and defining services for students eligible for school-based occupational therapy services as a related service.
- Create progress reports on a quarterly basis.
- Maintain documentation of OT services provided to students through IEPs.
- Create lesson plans and facilitate individual and/or group therapy activities to target IEP goals, using curriculum-based materials and content whenever possible.
- Consult with teachers regarding accommodations, student needs, instructional strategies, and necessary equipment or support for students in speech or being referred to OT.
- Participate in department training and meetings as required by Director.
- Supervise COTA staff.
- Be able to work at multiple school sites.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Education, Licensure, or Certification: Master’s Degree; Certification and Licensure as an Occupational Therapist; Previous COTA supervision experience.
Background Checks
- The incumbent in this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
Physical And Travel Requirements / Work Environment
- Travel between campuses is required from time to time.
- This position requires the need to lift objects (up to 25 pounds) on occasion.
- This position may require sitting for long periods at times, talking on the phone, standing, kneeling, stooping, and long periods of concentration.
- Local and in-state travel required.
