$66,000 - $68,000 annually based on experience

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 37.5 hrs./week

Your Impact as a School Nurse

The School Nurse promotes wellness for students and staff by providing medical care, health education, and preventive services. Responsibilities include:

• Coordination of medical interventions
• Offering guidance on health-related issues
• Ensuring compliance with NY State Education Department and agency policies
• Health supervision of students
• Health supervision of employees
• Administering medications or treatments to students, as directed by a physician
• Maintaining the Health Office supplies and equipment
• Monitoring student attendance
• Completing daily and monthly tasks
• Completing annual tasks
• Assuring that professional responsibilities are fulfilled
• Performing any other duties as requested by your supervisor

Education and/or Experience

• Degree: Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Experience: 2 years experience in a school setting

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• CPR Certification
• Duly Licensed by New York State
• Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner

Experience Preferred

• 2 year(s): Experience in a School Setting
