School Nurse

Grant Middle School is looking to fill a school nurse position.

Qualifications

• RN License: Active Illinois Registered Nurse license (BSN or ADN, depending on district preference).
• Certifications: CPR/AED for Healthcare Providers.
• Experience: Experience in pediatrics, emergency care, or public health is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care, first aid, and emergency response across the school day.
• Serve as medical resource person on IEP and multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist with mandated vision, hearing, and immunization compliance programs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrative leadership on student health needs.
• Maintain district compliance with Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) guidelines.
