About the role
The School Nurse will conduct state-mandated hearing and vision screenings, lead health-education workshops for students, faculty/staff, and parents, and collaborate with the principal to develop and implement a school health plan in accordance with TCCB ED guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Conduct state hearing and vision screenings
- Provide health-education workshops for students, faculty/staff, and parents
- Collaborate with the principal to develop and implement a school health plan
- Perform all activities in accordance with the American Nurses Association Standards of Practice and the Texas Nurse Practice Act
- Attend biannual Nurse Convocations
- Maintain current knowledge and skill base as a nurse
- Teach individuals and groups
Requirements
- Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Texas
- Practicing member of a Catholic Church
- Current CPR certification
- Genuine compassion and respect for all people
- Deep faith and commitment to the healing ministry of Christ
Pay
$28.00 to $30.00 hourly
Schedule
Part-time, approximately 8-10 hours per week
