RSU/SAD #37 is accepting applications for the position of School Nurse for the 2026-2027 school year.
About the role
The successful candidate will provide nursing services to students and staff in accordance with Maine Department of Education guidelines. Responsibilities may include administering medications, providing first aid, and managing student health issues.
Responsibilities
- Administering medications as prescribed
- Providing first aid and emergency care
- Managing student health issues
- Collaborating with healthcare providers and other school staff
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current Maine State Certification as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Experience working in a school setting preferred
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills
Skills
- Knowledge of pediatric health care
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly
- Proficiency in computer software
