The School Staff Nurse provides essential health services to students, including routine, special needs, and emergency first aid. They maintain accurate student health records, participate in educational initiatives, and communicate effectively with management, parents, school authorities, and healthcare teams. The role requires the ability to address physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of students of all ages, ensuring compliance with departmental, school, state, federal, and HR policies. Preferred candidates have experience in pediatric nursing, school settings, and multidisciplinary teams, with at least one year of healthcare experience. Proficiency in MS Office is required. Qualifications include a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (or obtaining it within five years), RN licensure, and BLS certification. The role is onsite with minimal on-call responsibilities and offers an FTE of 0.001.
