School Nurse

The School Staff Nurse provides essential health services to students, including routine, special needs, and emergency care, while maintaining accurate health records. Responsibilities include delivering clinical care, participating in educational initiatives, and effectively communicating with management, parents, school authorities, and healthcare team members. Qualifications require a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (or within five years), RN licensure, and BLS certification. Minimum of one year healthcare experience is necessary, with preferred experience in pediatric nursing, school settings, and multidisciplinary teams. Skills include proficiency in MS Office, knowledge of departmental, school, state, and federal policies, and the ability to address the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of students. Additional duties as needed ensure comprehensive student health support.
