School Lunch and Recess Monitor - Grade 6-8

Description

The Dobbs Ferry School District seeks a part-time School Lunch and Recess Monitor at the Dobbs Ferry Middle School, effective August 31, 2026. This is a regular, part-time position (10-month) Mondays - Fridays. 3 hours per day - 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of student activities and maintaining order in school buildings and on school grounds and playgrounds during lunch in the cafeteria and during indoor/outdoor recess.
• Experience working in a school setting preferred, but not required.
• Enthusiastic about working with middle-school aged students in Grades 6-8.
• Able to understand spoken and written directives.
• Able to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a fingerprint-supported criminal background check in accordance with SAVE legislation effective July 1, 2001.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school setting preferred, but not required.

• Understanding of spoken and written directives.
• Effective communication skills with students, staff and parents.

Pay

$9,298.00 - $11,183.00 (Annual wage per contract)
