Lunch and Recess Monitor at Dos Rios Elementary School.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a supervisor during lunch periods in the cafeteria, ensuring proper serving lines, eating, and dismissal procedures.
  • Supervise students outside the building on school grounds, including playground equipment, ensuring their safety.
  • Maintain discipline in the cafeteria according to school and district policies.
  • Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the cafeteria.
  • Assist students during lunch periods as needed.
  • Maintain positive and professional communication with staff, students, parents, and other community members.
  • Understand and adhere to school and district policies and procedures.
  • Apply school discipline procedures as part of the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS).
  • Ability to sit for long periods, handle numerous distractions, possess visual, auditory, and ambulatory acuity, and have upper body strength to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to move quickly from one position to another in response to student needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to follow oral and written directions.
  • Must be able to work effectively with individual and groups of elementary school age children and others.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to school and district policies and procedures.
  • Positive and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to sit for long periods, handle numerous distractions, possess visual, auditory, and ambulatory acuity, and have upper body strength to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to move quickly from one position to another in response to student needs.

Benefits

Pay

$19.26 per hour, not eligible for benefits. Additional salary credit may be given for internal transfers and recent Greeley-Evans School District 6 rehires, up to $30.86 per hour plus benefits.

Schedule

(2026-2027/ 182 Days) 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
