About the role

Alpha is opening a completely new campus in Springfield, MA, and we're seeking a leader who understands Springfield's educational landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Establish our Springfield, MA campus: Execute Alpha's three core promises for 100+ students from the outset with operational precision across all dimensions.
  • Facilitate live workshops with K-8 students on life competencies: Conduct dynamic one-hour sessions covering public speaking, growth mindset, and feedback exchange.
  • Drive every student toward 100% goal attainment: Develop personalized motivational frameworks for each individual student. Deploy data-informed strategies to address resistance and sustain engagement with the Alpha platform.
  • Develop Guides to peak performance and uphold Alpha's quality standards: Leverage data to surface performance deficiencies, provide clear feedback, and monitor progress. Execute difficult personnel decisions when performance standards aren't met and model the benchmark for excellence across your campus.
  • Execute data-informed leadership decisions for campus operations: Examine performance indicators across personnel, operations, parent engagement, and organizational culture. Identify challenges, perform root cause analysis, engage relevant stakeholders, and deploy measurable interventions. Monitor every decision and iterate based on outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, business, or related area.
  • Proven experience constructing and leading teams of at least 15 individuals with complete hiring and termination authority.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Springfield, MA educational environment. Direct experience serving youth between the ages of 5 and 14.
  • Robust data analysis capabilities and demonstrated experience applying metrics to inform decision-making and drive ongoing improvement.
  • Commitment to educational transformation. Conviction that the conventional system is fundamentally inadequate.
  • Entrepreneurial orientation: performs effectively under pressure, flexible in evolving environments, confident establishing systems from the foundation.
  • Dynamic and engaging communicator who captures the attention of large groups of students or staff members.
  • Capacity to connect with K-8 students, comprehend their interests and cultural context, and function as a constructive role model.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Benefits

  • Independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
  • $100 USD/hour compensation, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year.
  • Weekly payment period.
