Key Responsibilities
- Execute Alpha's three core commitments for 100+ students from day one with operational precision across all dimensions.
- Facilitate live workshops for K-8 students on life competencies: Lead one-hour interactive sessions covering public speaking, growth mindset, and feedback exchange.
- Drive every student to reach 100% of their objectives: Develop personalized motivational strategies for each learner and apply data-informed methods to address resistance and sustain engagement with the Alpha platform.
- Develop Guides toward excellence and maintain Alpha's performance standards: Leverage data to pinpoint capability gaps, provide clear feedback, and monitor progress. Execute difficult decisions when performance doesn't meet expectations and model the campus standard through your own actions.
- Lead campus operations through data-driven analysis: Evaluate performance across personnel, operational systems, parent engagement, and school culture. Identify issues, perform root cause investigations, engage stakeholders, and implement trackable improvements. Monitor every initiative and refine based on outcomes.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field. Master's preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, business, or related field.
- Direct experience building and managing teams of at least 15 people with full hiring and firing authority.
- Deep knowledge of the Springfield, MA education landscape. Experience working with youth ages 5 - 14.
- Strong data analysis skills and experience using metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Passion for transforming education. Belief that the traditional system is fundamentally broken.
- Startup mindset: thrives under pressure, adaptable in new situations, comfortable building systems from scratch.
- Compelling and energetic speaker who commands attention from rooms full of students or staff.
- Able to relate to K-8 students, understand their interests and culture, and serve as a positive role model.
- Likewise, legally authorized to work in the United States.
