About the role
A family in Whitby is looking for someone who loves hanging out with kids to join them for the school holidays. They have two primary-school-aged kids (9 & 10), both great company but very different. The 10-year-old is a passionate creator who loves craft, drama, music and getting out and about. She needs a little extra physical support and uses a wheelchair for longer outings, but she's keen to get stuck into life. Her brother is sporty, curious and always up for an adventure – think Te Papa, Science and getting out and exploring.
Responsibilities
- Have fun with them, get involved and make the holidays memorable.
- Some days might be an outing, other days might be painting, playing, walking to the park or figuring out what sounds fun that day.
Requirements
- Warm, patient and confident being kind but firm.
- Has experience with children (disability experience is a bonus).
- Has a full driver's licence and their own car.
- Good availability across multiple school holiday periods.
- Looking for something ongoing rather than just a one-off holiday job.
