SEASONAL - QUALITY GRADERS

About the role

Join Alsum Farms & Produce as a Quality Grader for our busy September through December harvest season. This seasonal opportunity offers the chance to earn extra money for the holidays, gain work experience, and potentially transition into a permanent position based on business needs and performance.

Responsibilities

• Sort between inferior or defective products and acceptable products, placing them in proper bins for further processing.
• Maintain a clean workspace by following the master sanitation schedule each day.
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements

• No minimum education or previous experience required; training will be provided.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow directions from a supervisor.
• Ability to utilize Human Resource Information System (HRIS) software.

Physical/Environmental Demands

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Various repetitive movements and good manual dexterity to perform required tasks.
• Exposure to airborne particles or fumes.
• Expected to remain alert and attentive.
• Good eyesight to ensure accurate grading of potatoes.
• Must climb stairs throughout the day to access the grading line.
• Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas.
• Occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.

Schedule

Seasonal work from September through December.
