Seasonal School Year - Recreation

About the role

This is an ongoing posting for people interested in applying for a position as a seasonal employee in Community Services. Positions vary depending on time of year, but may include: Playground Position, Lifeguard/Swim Instructor, Bradford Ski Monitor, Tennis Instructor, Concession Stand Volunteer, Sports Assistant, Adult Education Instructor, and After School Children's Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining playground equipment and facilities
• Provide lifeguarding and swim instruction services
• Monitor and assist at Bradford ski events
• Instruct tennis lessons and supervise court activities
• Work in concession stands to provide food and beverage services
• Assist with sports-related activities and events
• Teach adult education classes and workshops
• Supervise and instruct children in after school programs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
• Some positions may require CPR certification

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and adults
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of First Aid is preferred

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
