SEASONAL RECREATION OFFICIAL

Anticipated employment period: August 3, 2026 – November 10, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to visitors and patrons.
• Keep up with fouls, timeouts, and points for each team during assigned games.
• Maintain records such as attendance sheets and scoresheets.
• Assist in set-up, breakdown, and cleaning of the assigned work areas for scheduled sports events.
• Provide positive customer service to participants, volunteers, and members of the public.
• Explain and enforce rules and regulations of athletic sports to participants at a variety of skill levels.
• Respond to emergencies as outlined in the Emergency Action Plan.
• Perform other tasks as required or assigned.

Requirements

• Basic working knowledge of major sports such as football, volleyball, tennis, and basketball, and some knowledge of other sports.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to enforce rules and regulations.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, associates, volunteer groups, and the general public.

Pay

Starting at $17.80 an hour.
