About the role
School Staff Nurse responsible for providing comprehensive health services to students in a school setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver school health services, including routine, special needs, and emergency care.
- Maintain accurate student health records and document services rendered.
- Participate in health education initiatives and collaborate with school and healthcare teams.
- Communicate effectively with management, parents/guardians, and school staff.
- Provide holistic care addressing physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs.
- Ensure compliance with departmental, school, state, and federal policies and guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 1 year healthcare experience; pediatric nursing and school setting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Registered Nurse licensure and BLS certification are required.
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or obtained within 5 years of hire.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Details
Part-time role, onsite presence, FTE: 0.6, Monday through Friday during school sessions, with a 1:1 bus ride responsibility.
