Schedule

  • Monday–Friday | 7:30am - 2:30pm | 32.5 Hours per Week

A Day in the Life of a School Health Assistant at PSI

  • Providing basic health support to students in the school setting
  • Administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with routine healthcare needs
  • Supporting communicable disease prevention and following established school health protocols
  • Collaborating with school nurses, staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student care plans
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and protecting confidential student health information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Following medication protocols and school health procedures to ensure safe care for students

What We're Looking For

  • Experience caring for children strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting students with Diabetes, Asthma, Allergies, or Seizures preferred
  • Knowledge of communicable disease prevention, medication protocols, and basic healthcare practices
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly
  • Strong collaboration and team-building skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills when working with students, families, and staff
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
