About the role
The Health Education Assistant position is responsible for providing educational services to promote health and wellness within the community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct educational programs and workshops
- Develop and implement health promotion initiatives
- Provide individualized health counseling
- Assist in the development and distribution of informational materials
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in public health, a health science or health service, or a behavioral science
- Any combination of education and experience in a public agency or non-profit organization
- A valid Class C California Driver License upon appointment
Qualifications
- Must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process
- Applicants may be required to submit to a background check following an offer of employment
- May be required to undergo post-offer medical and drug screening tests at County expense

Pay
The salary range for this position is $42,000 - $50,000 annually.
