Job Responsibilities

• Aids the classroom teacher with recordkeeping and data collection.
• Prepares behavior/progress reports and communicates with students to develop language, conceptual, and behavioral skills.
• Teaches one-on-one or in small groups under the teacher’s direction.
• Makes daily communications with students and assists the teacher with scheduling, supervising students during lunch and field trips, and trips to the health center.
• Aids the teacher in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Planning and Management

• Promotes and encourages proper behavior and conduct for each student.
