About the role
The Uncommon Thread (TUT) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disorders through high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized ABA therapy sessions to children diagnosed with ASD and other related developmental disorders.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to develop and implement behavior intervention plans.
- Evaluate progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Document sessions and maintain accurate records of each child's progress.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and new research in ABA.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1,500 hours of supervised ABA experience.
- A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

- Experience working with children aged 18 months to 5 years old.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for making a difference in the lives of children with special needs.
Skills
- Knowledge of ABA principles and techniques.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Pay
$75.00 - $90.00 per hour
Schedule
Flexible schedule to accommodate client needs, including evenings and weekends.
