About the role

The Uncommon Thread (TUT) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disorders through high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized ABA therapy sessions to children diagnosed with ASD and other related developmental disorders.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to develop and implement behavior intervention plans.
• Evaluate progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document sessions and maintain accurate records of each child's progress.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and new research in ABA.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
• A minimum of 1,500 hours of supervised ABA experience.
• A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Experience working with children aged 18 months to 5 years old.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for making a difference in the lives of children with special needs.

• Knowledge of ABA principles and techniques.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
• Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Pay

$75.00 - $90.00 per hour

Schedule

Flexible schedule to accommodate client needs, including evenings and weekends.
