Campus Services Group is seeking a School Environmental Services Manager to join our team and serve the community.
Responsibilities
- Manages and supervises environmental services staff at a single campus according to policies, procedures, and federal/state requirements.
- Provides leadership, support, coordination, and guidance to ensure quality standards, inventory levels, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met.
- Consistently embodies the Company’s Purpose, Vision, Values, and DNA.
- Coordinates and ensures timely completion of project and program work in the building across varying shifts.
- Utilizes protective gear in all appropriate functions.
- Maintains records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
- Secures and ensures all equipment is maintained and in working order.
- Ensures the facility has sufficient janitorial supplies and takes periodic inventories of supplies and materials.
- Trains new employees and recommends dismissals.
- Acts as liaison between building occupants or administrators and HCSG staff.
- Communicates directives from managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff.
- Performs job assignments of day porter, custodian, and floor technician as needed.
- Conducts training, quality control, and in-servicing for staff, including touring the building several times per day to assess work quality using QCIs for documentation.
- Conducts themselves and their department in a professional manner as a department head in the school.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Two years’ experience in Environmental Services in a school or healthcare environment, including personnel supervision, is desired.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Must fully understand and complete all In-Services.
- Must be punctual and able to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to understand and implement basic infection control procedures.
- Ability to handle and mix chemicals safely and properly.
- Ability to work all shifts as needed.
- Knowledge of Environmental Services, laundry, and floor care program requirements.
- Knowledge of and ability to use all department equipment.
- Ability to maintain records and complete reports as required.
- Strong written and oral communication and teaching skills.
- Skill in using public relations techniques to promote Environmental Services, laundry, and floor care programs to clients and residents.
- Ability to interact positively with residents, clients, personnel, and the public.
- Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies, as required by State, Local, and/or Customers.
- Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
- Must live in the service area; no relocation costs provided.
