Job Purpose

Your duties will include: Traffic Regulation: Safely regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic at designated crossings to facilitate the safe passage of children.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Traffic Regulation: Safely regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic at designated crossings to facilitate the safe passage of children.
• Event Support: Provide traffic control support at special events and non-school locations as assigned.
• Reporting: Report motorists who fail to adhere to safe driving practices in school crossing zones.
• Other Duties: Assist with any other assigned tasks related to pedestrian and traffic control.

Required Qualifications

• Possess the ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Hold a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia, with a motor vehicle record insurable under the city’s insurance plan.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of traffic control principles and pedestrian safety practices.
• Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and school personnel.
• Capability to stand for extended periods, with the flexibility to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Job Details

Flexible Schedule: Work just two hours per day, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., leaving plenty of time for other commitments.

Competitive Pay: Earn $25.00 per hour while helping to keep our children safe.
