Responsibilities
- School Social Worker supports students and the Center’s mission by providing comprehensive behavioral health services.
- Works collaboratively with administration and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality services.
- Develops recommended IEP goals and objectives.
- Creates appropriate treatment plans based on IEPs.
- Provides psychosocial services tailored to students’ developmental and needs.
- Documents treatment outcomes accurately and promptly.
- Implements classroom management and individual behavior interventions.
- Assists management and team during student/family crises and suspected abuse/neglect screenings/reporting.
Requirements
- Graduate degree (Masters) in Social Work, Psychology, or Behavioral Sciences.
- NYS Licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), MHC Limited Permit, or MSW working towards LMSW.
- Specialized training and experience working with students with developmental, physical, neurological disorders, and Autism Spectrum disorders preferred.
- Less than 1 yr of job-related experience required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Pay
$68,945.06 - $75,606.80
