School Behavioral Technician Trainee, Behavioral Health

We are seeking dedicated individuals who hold or are eager to obtain their Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with children and young adults diagnosed with Autism in Hawaii Island School Districts
• Provide services on ABA or insurance-based contracts in Hawaii
• Receive comprehensive training from BAYADA
• Undergo extensive supervision by BAYADA
• Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers
• Document interventions and progress towards goals
• Collect behavior data as per the client's behavior plan
• Train, instruct, and assist students to acquire and maintain skills
• Support students in developing interpersonal skills, personal relationships, and independence
• Collaborate with school teams to ensure the best outcomes for students

Requirements

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to pursue certification (training provided by BAYADA)
• At least 18 years of age
• Experience working with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities is a plus, but not required
• A minimum of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100, or passing the ParaPro Praxis Assessment (assistance available)

• Be able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
• Have a positive attitude and be able to build strong relationships with clients and families

Schedule

• Flexible part-time positions available
• Shifts available Monday through Friday
• Most shifts are between 7:30am and 2:30pm
