School Based Therapist- Hybrid
About the role
The School-Based Therapist primarily provides services within a school setting while also delivering services in clients’ homes and in the office as needed. This role delivers Clarvida-approved therapeutic interventions to children, adolescents, and families to support identified behavioral and emotional health goals. The School-Based Therapist collaborates with families, schools, DCS, court personnel, and other involved parties to coordinate care, provide resource linkage, and ensure treatment goals are effectively implemented.
Responsibilities
- Assess clients at intake as needed and conduct community-based client visitations
- Transport clients as required to support service delivery
- Complete on-call duties consistent with program needs
- Provide Clarvida-approved therapeutic interventions including coping skills development, behavior modification, parenting skills training, and crisis intervention
- Deliver individual, group, and/or family therapy to assigned clients and families
- Collaborate with assigned clients’ treatment teams to create, individualize, and update Treatment Plans and required documentation
- Ensure Treatment Plans align with Clarvida policy, state licensing regulations, and COA accreditation standards
- Serve as a liaison and advocate for clients with schools, DCS, court personnel, and other professionals involved in care
- Attend Supervision and Treatment Team meetings and present assigned client cases as required
- Support fellow team members to ensure optimal outcomes for all clients and families
- Complete clinical documentation within established timeframes and correct documentation deficits promptly
- Participate in peer audits as assigned to maintain service integrity and excellence
- Contribute to the Performance Quality Improvement Cycle, including data collection and utilization to improve services
- Maintain flexibility to meet program scheduling needs
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a discipline eligible for mental health licensure in Tennessee
- Thorough knowledge of child development and therapeutic interventions
- Sensitivity to diverse cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Ability to travel and work at multiple service locations
- Ability to work flexible hours consistent with program needs
- Strong mentoring skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
