Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to determine students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Provide counseling and interventions to support students' emotional and mental health needs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to address students' academic and behavioral challenges.
- Offer consultation and training to school personnel on strategies to improve learning environments and student outcomes.
- Promote positive mental health through prevention programs, crisis intervention, and school-wide initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from a NASP-approved/accredited program.
- Valid state license or state department of education certification (as needed) as a School Psychologist.
- Educator Certificate (if applicable).
- Prefer experience working as a School Psychologist in a school setting.
- Prefer knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
- Strong skills in psychological testing, counseling, and intervention techniques.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to cultural competence and diversity.
Qualifications
- Prefer experience working as a School Psychologist in a school setting.
- Prefer knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
- Strong skills in psychological testing, counseling, and intervention techniques.

Skills
- Knowledge of Special Education Law as outlined within the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE).
- Experience in the administration and interpretation of a variety of assessments.
- Experience with positive behavior support and with universal strategies on how to support students with behavioral concerns.
- Experience and training in administering and interpreting psychological evaluations within an educational setting.
- Proven ability to develop modifications and accommodations for the general education curriculum.

Pay
$80 per hour
Schedule
Hybrid - Part of the week must be in person at the school, with report writing and documentation that can be completed at home. Must reside within 45 minutes of the school district.
