School-Based SLP Remote

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Telespeech Therapy delivers high-quality remote speech therapy services to school-aged students. This role focuses on assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders while collaborating with school teams to support student success.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, evidence-based speech therapy sessions via teletherapy platforms.
• Utilize digital tools, interactive materials, and strategies to maintain student engagement in a virtual setting.
• Manage both individual and small group sessions effectively in an online environment.
• Implement behavior management strategies appropriate for virtual sessions.
• Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and school administrators to support student success.
• Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers regarding progress, strategies, and carryover activities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, occupational therapists, and counselors.
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and student support discussions.
• Provide consultation to school staff on classroom strategies and accommodations.
• Monitor progress toward IEP goals and adjust therapy approaches as needed.
• Prepare and present progress reports in accordance with school district timelines.
• Ensure compliance with service minutes and documentation requirements.
• Troubleshoot basic technical issues to minimize disruptions during sessions.
• Maintain a professional virtual environment conducive to therapy.
• Ensure secure handling of student data and digital records.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid California State License in Speech-Language Pathology—must be maintained throughout employment.
• Current ASHA certification (CCC-SLP).
• Equivalent to two (2) years of experience working with school-aged students in an educational setting.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of speech, fluency, language, voice, cognitive, hearing, and social communication disorders.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized, student-centered therapy plans.
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team to achieve quality outcomes, while ensuring precise, timely documentation that meets all professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams and school personnel.

Pay

$55.00 - $65.00 per hour.

Schedule

Remote position with flexible engagement options: W2 (employee) or 1099 (independent contractor). Full-time and part-time opportunities available.
